Winning Sports Trading Strategies - A Little Insurance

I'm looking to back my selection in the outright markets, (This acts as a kind of insurance) and then lay them for a profit as the tournament Progresses, in their individual matches.

Now there are many sports that you can apply this particular trading strategy to. I like to look towards the tennis tournaments though.

We are looking at positioning ourselves so that we can have several goes at laying our chosen player for a profit without it costing us much if anything at all. I'm looking for a player that's just on the fringe of favoritism. The kind of player with a big reputation that's just hitting a bit of form. Likely to be short odds in the early rounds before they meet the big guns.

I find these players by looking at the outright markets and then the draw, if you have a quick look at the outright odds of the opponents, your player is likely to meet in the tournament. You can see pretty well what kind of odds you can expect in each individual round.

The plan then is to lay the player in each round to cover your stake for the outright and to hit your chosen profit target. If your selection goes on to win the tourney then the profits from the outright (hopefully) cover any loss that you have made from the match bets.

Generally in the early rounds where your player is the favorite, I tend to lay them, just to cover the outright stake and only later look to make a profit, although as with everything there are exceptions from time to time, especially if they clash with one of the fancied players early.

Hi i have been researching systems and strategies for sometime now.

Many of the services and system peddlers leave a lot to be desired. I intend overtime to review and compare some of the more popular one's around on my blog. As well as adding one or two of my own free systems.
